the saddle brown leather ROCKS!
I've got the same in my upcoming X5 but combined with brushed aluminium... don't really like wood finish in a car :dunno:

Nice cars and welcome. Interesting to hear about the Alfa, I really like the looks and wanted to drive one when I was in Munich, didn't get a chance. You don't get too many good color choices here in US, folks tend to stick with the standard conservative color set, so BMW dosn't even bother giving the options. Mine was a dealer ordered but had the main options (sports and 3rd row) that I wanted, would have loved to get the "Saddle Brown" interior, I think it goes great with any color, specially Black.

:welcome:

It sure does. Have you gone for the 3,0d or the 4,8i? you gonna love the alpine white/saddle brown combo.

I did acctually look for one with aluminium instead of wood, even searched for one down in Germany but never found any. Not a big fan of the wood either. I have choosen aluminium for my 09 4,8i.

Thanks for the welcome.

Alfa Romeo build very beutiful cars, I really like their current modell range, especially the Brera S. They are getting really cheap as well, I got a 14.000€ discount on my 08 Spider, and it was really cheap already:D

btw has Alfa Romeo been re-introduced on the North American market yet?

Its also quite hard to find a well equipped X5 here in Sweden, especially if you are consider buying a 3,0d as most are pretty poorly equipped. I guess thats the reason why many people buying a X5 here in sweden import their cars from Germany. I also think that Saddle Brown would look good with black, I have choosen dark brown leather (not Saddle) for my Monaco Blue

I went for a spacegrau 3.0d, the 4.8i costs about 5000€ in taxes :wow: just to get a license plate, add to that an enourmous amount of annual taxes :( + gas prices that are through the roof :( , plus diesel is cheaper than gas here in Belgium  , so the diesel is the right choice for me. The 3.0sd on the other hand would have sent my insurance skyhigh as I'm only 32... But I don't consider the 3.0d as a punishment, this is a great engine and I like bottom torque over high end power:cool: (note that I have not driven a 4.8i so I can't really compare... I presume that there is no comparison...)
I hesitated to get a white X5, but this color needs 20inch rims, kinda looks stupid on 19inches (which I got...) so I 'settled' for spacegrau...

'07 / '08s in the US weren't given an aluminum option, just graphite which is plastic-ky. No thanks. ;)

I usually don't go for wood trim either but the light poplar color match with saddle brown works great imo.

If I didn't already have a gray vehicle and had alum. as an option, I would've went space gray / saddle brown / brushed aluminum... all around very sporty in appearance.
