Does anyone have these?

Do you like them and do they do their job or is it better to go with a third party product? I am mainly getting them to protect the leather when I install an infant car seat in a month or so (first time parent).

I like the fact that these are a custom fit, but BMW accessories vary greatly. Some are outstanding and some are piss poor.

I don't have these but they look like they would do the job. I had bought some for the E53 and they were such a PITA to put on I rarely used them- those were much a tighter fit than these.

I have to use 2 infant car seats right now and the carrier bases are putting a little indentation into the leather at 2 points for each carrier (not sure why they designed these gracos with these slightly protruding edges). I am thinking about adding a foam piece to the carrier bases themself to keep this from happening. If this protective cover is not thick, I'm thinking this problem would exist for you too unless it's a different design.

At any rate, I'm not a fan of covering up the seats entirely. (You won't need to worry about spills really - at least not at this stage - infants right?).

I have these seats savers on my E53 X5 4.8is and they work great.

My kids like to step on the seats before getting in their car seats so there's always footprints, but the seat savers keep the dirt off.

I'll probably leave the seat savers on until I don't need the car seats anymore.

They fit very snug so be prepared to do alot of pulling and pushing.

I just laid a beach towl on the seating surface and then put the booster seats on top. That seems to do the trick and it's obviously cost effective.

I do the same.. I actually cut a piece of foam and used that underneath the booster - damn those boosters have sharp edges..

iam have 2 kids i know wat are u trying to do juat get aftermarket mats or pads they will do the job (buybuybaby.com) try them they have a few options

I have those in my X5. It won't protect your leather from marks from a baby seat. I have them installed, and in my opinion are okay. Maybe I am not good as installing but it doesn't look as nice as in the picture....

these are worth a look
 

I haven't tried these but they may work for you. They are a little more pricey than the BMW covers but seem to look better.

I would double check to make sure you will have access to the LATCH system with these if you need to install infant seats and would like to use the LATCH system.

I've been using the Prince Lionheart 2 Stage Car seat protector for the last few years now and it does the job at a very reasonable price of $20. Protects the leather, would not leave indentations on the seat and catches the nasty spills. You can get them at Babies R Us and other popular retailers like Target etc.
