Looks great Carl! Do you have any pics of the Alpinas on your E53? :)

Hi Jivit27

The alpina's on the E53...

Carl.

Thanks Carl, I really like those! I've been considering new wheels for my E53 and those are on my list. Would compliment the Alpina background of the 4.8iS well. Wish they weren't so expensive though since there dont' seem to be many sets out there on the second hand market :( How is the weight on them?

Feel free to share more photos if you have them!

Hi jvit,

You see the odd set on ebay (uk) , but usually the tyres are shot....they tend to go for about £1500. As for the weight , On the e70 I originally had 20's with runflats..and they do not feel any heavier. The tyres on the alpina's are not runflats so I am currently running around with a portable compressor and 3 cans of puncture repair in the boot.I will post more pictures of the e53...I thought these wheels really suited the E53 and when in the process of changing cars ,i wasnt really sure that they would suit the e70...however I think the look pretty good.

Carl.

Thanks for the feedback Carl. I did some homework yesterday and one thing I noticed there's a very limited choice of tires that would fit the Alpinas... I could only find the Dunlop Sportmaxx runflats (@ $459 ea!!)

Ouch....luckily they have only done around 4k,maybe ,i will ask for a set for next christmas....

Looks great!!!

Just wonder that E60 Hartge wheel would fit E70 or not. Cuz I got E60 Hartge Classic II 20" laying around and would love to put it on my E70

Hi Pongpap, thanks for the positive response....Had a quick look on the H&R website (spacers), It looks like you will need the same spacers That I used because the bore size 0n the E60 is the same as the E53 (72.5) the bore size on the E70 is 74, so the spacers had to reduce this centre bore down to 72.5. the spacers i fitted are 20mm in width. I guess the other consideration is the offset of the hartge wheel.
If you do order them make sure you request longer wheel bolts as they do not come with the spacers.
Hope this helps

Carl.
p.s post some pics if you get them on.

Thanks so much Carl 996

I will give it a try. Your information is very useful. I will post the new pic. once I've put them on okay

The spec for my Hartge Classic II are as followed
Front 9"x20" offset 18
Rear 10"x20" offset 22

Do you think that this offset will be okay for E70? I have no idea.
