Paint protector film

Did anyone get a clear paint protector film installed on their X? How much did it cost? Is it worth it? What are the pieces you had installed? I have heard that 3M X-pel film is pretty good, will appreciate any opinions.

Thanks

It has been a while. My gues is I paid around $600 for full frontal protection plus door edges and rear view mirrors.

$600 for a full front end plus mirrors on our 335 coupe...

I paid $700 for the front bumper & headlights and it has a 5 year warranty against failure. Xpel ClearBra by 3M.

Did they cover your emblem with it too? They didn't on mine and my detail guy said they should have because he's seen the emblems take quite a beating.

I've had it twice on my '01 e53. It was 3M and I want to say it was @$400- hood, bumper, fenders and side mirrors.

I have 3M 8mil thick protection film on mine. the whole front end is protected bumper, hood, fenders, headlights/foglights, and mirrors for about $250 for the film. I did the install myself becuse i do that as a side job...if you are near the CT area, i can hook you up if you are interested.

does this stuff completely protect from things like shopping cart scratches on a front end bumper or would that be too harsh?
