All my BMW's are tinted. I've never had an issue. As for tint, I've had my tails sprayed and my used film. On my 2007, I had my tails sprayed. On my 2008 M5, I used a film that was made specific for just the clear portion of the turn signal.

If you want sprayed, go here:

I'd consider it. I currently have the GP Thunders in my 2008 M5 and am very happy with them. You can't beat $15 either, compared to $300 I spent on my 2007 model through AngeliBrights.

Where did you get your LED's from? And will this work with the 2009 model? I know with the E60, LED's won't work with the Pre-LCI. They only work for the LCI.

that film looks like a good affordable (especially if I decide I don't like it) solution - thanks!

could you let us know all the websites where you are purchasing all of these upgrades? I would like to do the same to my new 4.8.

also, is there any chips out there made for the e70?

Thanks! You'll have to come down to the next meet I organize in NY. I am one of the very active members on E60.net and M5Board. I organize many of the BMW meets in our region. Last summer, we had 2 great meets. We had one in June where around 100 cars and 100+ people attended in Long Island. In September, we had another one up in Bear Mtn where about 60 people and cars attended.

All are always welcome. I'll post those meet details when the Spring rolls around.

I'm ordering my mods from a variety of vendors. Here are a few:

1. maX5 (member on this forum) - HID Fogs and HID Angel Eyes
2. Trinity Autosport - Carbon Fiber Roundels for Wheels and Hood/Trunk, 6000K Xenons
3. European AutoSource - Smoked Reflectors, Smoked Side Reflectors
4. JLevi - LED Side Signals, LED Reverse Lights
5. TurnerMotorSports - Spacers
6. Extra Set of 4.8 Grills for painting Jet Black (BMW of Newport, Rhode Island). I get a 25% discount on ALL OEM parts at this dealership and I pay no tax. Shipping is practically next day, since I'm in NY, and that's going UPS Ground too.

This is where I started. I use most of these vendors from my other BMW boards (E60.net and M5Board).

Very nice cmansbimmer. Thats a crazy M5 you've got there. what mods have you done to it?

As for these mods, they are mainly lighting, but some are performance. It's very similar to what I have done with my M5. For example, the angel eyes are being swapped for a "white light" color, instead of the amber, stock color. They fit better with the xenon headlights. However, I'm upgrading the stock xenons (4300K) to 6000K. It's still a white light, but gives more detail on the road in front.

The SprintBooster, which is a MUST for all owners, removes throttle lag. There's no delay through the gears. It's great. It connects right under the throttle pedal too. It's an easy plug and play device that makes a world of difference.

Ok, sounds good. Just as long as it doesn't look like something out of the movie The Fast and Furious.

Never. I too, hate the ricey look. All my cars are tastefully done.
