On the fence! (again)

Pondering the installation of aluminum (Schnitzer) pedals on the thing. Not sure how it will look. Cheezy? I'd appreciate some pics from the owners that have done it, in order to make up my mind.
Thanks.

I have an E53, not an E70, but I don't really think mine look cheesy.

Danielsand 01-01-2009 09:34 PM

No it does not look cheezy (thanks for the pic). I think mine would look even better on the black interior. Still,...if someone has a pic with the black carpet, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. It looks good. I just ordered the set.

These do look good - I have black interior also. How much is a set? Thanks.

There are tons of replicas, (fake!) stuff too. Be careful. These are genuine.

X5rolls 01-02-2009 12:44 PM

Thanks for the link!

statdoc 01-02-2009 12:54 PM

I did the cheap replicas, off eBay. They have been flawless for the 3.5 years I have had them. I wouldn't pay $300-400 for something, when $100 works exactly the same.

Danielsand 01-02-2009 02:28 PM

I don't have a problem with "cheap", but I do with "fake". I refuse to support Chinese industry of fake goods. I know my boycott will not make a difference, but I detest any fake goods.
Maybe I was conditioned by many years of collecting Rolex watches, and God knows, China is raping that industry.
Come think of it,...I don't like ANYTHING made in China.

Is drilling req'd? Is it like a 5-min job?

Drilling required, yes. It is an easy job and doesn't take long at all, maybe 30 minutes if you are being slow and careful. Make sure to have a really strong drill bit or a couple of spares as you are going through metal with a pretty small bit.

Thanks, I noticed I linked the wrong stuff after I already posted. Same seller has the AT sets too.
