UK Tyre Prices - how much for 20" RFT?

Yet another puncture and yet again no Bridgestone tyres available in the UK.

I require one 315x35x20 Bridgestone Dueller Sport RFT.

In April 2008 I was quoted £270 for this tyre at a main dealer and I eventually paid £230 (inc VAT & fitting) at an independant tyre garage. The dealer is now quoting £350 (inc VAT & fitting). I did not want to be held to ransom but as my independant garage could not source a tyre I returned to the dealer. They also cannot supply a tyre and according to BMW UK they are not expecting a shipment until the end of January.

I explained to BMW that they should not be selling cars that they cannot supply parts for and they either change all 4 tyres to another leading brand e.g. Dunlop (I would pay for one rear tyre) or they provide me with another X5 until such a time they can supply a replacement Bridgestone. I now have the dealers rental X5.

My question to the forum - How much are you paying for 315x35x20 RFT and what brand tyres are available?

Anybody willing to ship a couple over from the US as I notice tirerack quote $300. What a complete rip off the UK is!!!

I'm not in anyway associate with this store, but I found them very useful with good price especially for Dunlop 295/35R21 which is very hard to find and also very expensive else where. Goodluck
