E70 3.0d DMS Upgrade

I have just had my e70 'tickled' by DMS and i thought that it would be worth endorsing to the masses on here. The car is now much more responsive and equal to the sd in performance figures. The midrange is much more urgent and the car pulls strongly all the way to the redline. It is more noticible when you kick it down at motorway speed, which is where i felt it lacked before. Economy wise, i am seeing about 10 % gain when not abusing my new power! I would recomend the service to anyone and for the money seems very good value, with no risk of failing fuel pumps etc i.e Tuning boxes etc.:thumbup:

DMS appear to be an all round good choice. Just for curiosity did DMS give you new out put figures for your mapped E70? And what’s the deal with your warranty now, is their software detectable by BMW when you take your E70 for a service?

I'm thinking about doing this for the last year before I change my E70 again. Hopefully BMW will have “upgraded” the 3.0sd/35d engine to 300+ hp for the LCI in 2010/2011.

Yeah, the quoted figures are 276 bhp and 620 nm quoted and from the improvement i believe it. Obviously there is no way of knowing for sure without rolling roading it. The tech was full of praise for BMW's and said they had worked on many e70's now without any complaints. The map is stealth and BMW cannot detect it during service etc. If the car's software needs updating then BMW would reset the upgrade but DMS reinsate it again. If the car happens to have any problems that can be directly linked to the upgrade then DMS offer to cover the work, but request that they look at the car prior to BMW. Oh and it is still in the warranty term. I will keep hold of this car for the next year or so and chop it in for the face lift sd in the next couple of years. I know a guy with a sd that DMS have done and it is a monster.... 340 bhp and 700 odd nm? It is a beast! Hope this is some help to you.

how do I contact DMS in the US please. Also whats sd? Thank you in advance.

SD is the Super Deisel (286hp). I dont know if you have Hartge in USA, but if you do i would recommend you to go for it, they just do a reprogramme no chip or anything and its totally undetectable. My friend did his 3.0d and is very happy, and even better I did mine SD (335hp) and the car feels super fast!

My new 35d will arrive this Friday, the dealer assured me that BMW will have a factory ECU upgrade in the next coming months. He was surprised when he asked his service manager that the new mapping wasn't available yet. I'm the first in line so I'll keep you guys posted.

How did you extract your ECU of your car to send it to Hartge?
