Welcome - love the rides. Seeing as you have a Porsche, I wonder how much you'll get into the BMW... LOL!

Guys, I really cant wait to get the X5 upgraded with rims and a body kit. This car just has so many options.

What is even more amazing for me is the fact that right from the factory it really is a wonderful handling machine. I cant wait to run it in and then take it for some spirited drives... I've long heard about the prowess of the X5 and I am finally first hand experiencing its a wonderful handling, all the more remarkable when considering its an SUV!!!

As you can guess, I am OVERJOYED!!! Once again, thanks to you all for the warm welcome, and I look forward to getting lots of ideas from you all as to how to bring my little 3.0Si to the next level :D

Ok some pics of the other car...

 :D  :D  I would drive my X a lot less if that was in my garage!

Your volvo looks like the v8 model, feels stronger than the BMW 3.0L?

The XC was the first generation T6 model modified to 320bhp and over 410nM of torque.

Have not pushed the engine yet as am running it in but surprisingly the 3.0 does not feel that bad. I can imagine that the 4.8 would be an entirely different level.

HOWEVER, the XC was also modified in the suspension area with Heico full suspension including shocks and springs and I can already say that the X5's handling runs rings around the Swedish car. The Germans just really know how to go around a corner...

You are bound to love the X5... just wish that I could have sprung for a 4.8 but in the current economic environment could not convince the wife :(

All, much thanks for the welcome again.

Ha ha, believe me, I would much rather get into the X5.. the yellow car is just too noisy and rough!!! I keep it for those days when I need to convince myself I am still young! Besides, the X gets the vote from my kids and more importantly the wife!!!

Didn't I read somewhere that BMW stands for "Better Maintained Wife"? I guess that's better than "Bubba makes wheels" or "Big money wasted".
