What Happens If You Push......
 

Does anyone know what happens if you accidentally push the parking button while the vehicle is moving? I tend to drive with my hand on the joystick because I use the manual mode a lot in the mountainous regions.

I'm not referring to the parking brake button, but rather the "P" button on the top of the joystick.

If the vehicle is moving, nothing happens.

the lever wont go further than neutral (N) unless you're pressing the button?

I think you need to have your foot on the brake to go in and out of park

This was mentioned in another thread a while ago. In my experience a have pressed the P when the car was speeding and nothing happened. But be aware in very low speed when the car is just rolling because it also happened once in my garage the car was just rolling and I pressed P by mistake and I heard a big noise :( and the car stopped immediately .... this could easily break something but i was lucky.

um... a warning sign pops up saying you have to be stopped to park. lol
i never hit park. i just turn off the car and go. lol.
