Saddle Brown Ordering
I am getting ready to place an order for a 09 X5 3.0i. I have a E92 with Saddle Brown and love it, and would like to get it on the X5, however, it looks like it is a Priority 1 option. I don't have a problem ordering the car, however, was curious to know what Priority 1 means, and why BMW classifies it as such.

Makes you wonder if they weren't selling on the lot. I ordered my 2009 3.0 with saddle brown (and mineral green exterior) before they took the color off the Web site. Strange. Perhaps they just wanted to offer some incentives/exclusives to get people to order cars (they are less apt to haggle fiercely, I imagine, than for cars on the dealers' lots).
Anyway, I really like the color in my X. Not too light (we have a 5 wagon with grey leather) and not too dark (we came from a 330i that had black). The floors, mats, dash, and lower portions of the doors are black, so that hides normal wear and tear dirt. |
I have saddle Brown Interior in my X5, but I don't know what is Priority 1 also.. but my dealer was able to delivery my custom order car in just under 4 weeks...

I believe priority one means the vehicle is designated for a person already.. meaning it would be tied to you if you do the special order. I don't know how they would handle [non-refundable] deposits and such because of that though.
