The E70 is more refined, quicker and more agile. I can't get over the handling. I was very surprised in the difference. I went from a 2005 4.4i to a 2008 4.8i

+1 :iagree: I too have noticed there is much less body roll, the cabin feels less bouncey over bump roads

sidenote: one thing I do miss from my old 05 is the doors felt heavy almost too heavy sometimes and I loved the way they shut (german car doors have that destinct sound when they shut/open) and the E70 doors feel great :D but they are either more balanced or lighter because they remind me more of doors I had on a lexus few years back:dunno: my $.02

Wheelbase is a little shorter on the e53 that's why. With each new model changes the enhancements to ride will always get better. I feel the e53 is more athletic and agile with the less weight and the e70 is more refined. I'd be curious as to the numbers of an e53 with sport package skid pad numbers vs. e70 with sport package (with the 19" wheels) skid pad numbers--I bet the e53 numbers would be better.

Try closing the hood on the E70. It's scary, I'm afraid I'm going to break it. The E53 had a nice solid sound when you shut it.

My E53 4.6is was better put together, no rattles or squeaks. I hate my E70 4.8 gaerbox, it really is astoundingly bad, The E70 is much more comfortable though and bigger which I like and very agile for its size, but not as fast as my E53 4.6 iS.. Its a difficult toss up :dunno:

I love the E70 on every aspect, more refine, better handling, better interior and tech, don't missed the 05 4.8is I've traded in.
