Looking for info on paddleshift retrofit...

I have searched high & low and I don't think anyone has done the paddleshift retrofit on the E70 yet. I have done it on my E53 and my E39 without a problem however since the release of the new joystick gear shift, the wiring and process has changed. I have seen retrofit cable harnesses on ebay for the E90 & others but they can't figure out the E70 so don't have it yet.

When were the paddleshifts available on the X6? I see that the sport heated wheel was not available until 11/08. Perhaps this is when they also introduced the paddles?

I only have access to the WDS wiring diagrams up until 09/2008 maybe that's why I can't find anything? Does anyone have any info on thie retrofit or am I going to be the first one heading into this?? :D

There was someone on this forum who had developed the harness for the E70 and it was in the testing phase a couple months back. You could get in touch with them and find out if its ready. To retrofit the Paddles, you will need to purchase a X6 steering wheel of your choice and airbag if needed to use along with the harness.

Thanks but I already contacted Jason at Burgertuning and also 'Mr.paddleshift.' As mentioned, they both have the harness for the 3 series and 1 series but nothing for the X5 yet. Not sure what the difficulty is with the E70. Maybe I'll have to take it apart myself and check. :D

If the X5 M has paddleshift, which many think it will, then the answer will be pretty straight forward (hopefully!).
