COOL FEATURES
Today, I happened to find TWO cool features which I didn't notice/know before.
1. When the "Auto Holding" is active, if you open the door --> the system automatically engages P(park) + engine brake. 2. Programmable memory keys recognize which button you are gonna push even before you actually push the button. --> "Touch sensitive" (Well.. hard to explain...) Just try to slide(move) your finger from one button to other buttons (keep contact with buttons but you don't actually push it) i-drive system will show you which button is contacted by your finger. I figured it would be good to share with you guys. ^^ |
lol I knew they were touch sensitive. Also I don't have auto H so I can't try the other one. You korean? i'm Korean as well.
|
1. works also on cars without auto-hold

Touch-sensitivity is a cool feature indeed. It lets you see what each button does instead of having to remember.
The auto hold I wish I had more use for. I just can't get used to letting go of the brake right away after using it. In stop and go traffic, that's just an extra step as inching up is a frequent necessity. Even in street traffic you're doing more actions than if you were just to manage your movement by keeping on the brakes and releasing to move. |
auto H is a great feature but a real pain in the :smackass: when parking
I usually forget to turn it off and it engages when not expected, making you look like any another idiot that can't reverse park... but maybe that's just my fault instead of auto H... |
One of the features I like is the "rest" feature with the heater. When it's cold out, I can run into a store for 10 or 15 minutes and come back out to a toasty warm car. I think the e53 had this too, but for some reason I just discovered it on the e70. Maybe because we had such a miserable winter this year...

^ whats this rest feature?
|
residual heating, with the engine off, you can press the fan button to activate residual heating.
