rotated my run-flats

OMG are these tires heavy. i think i mighta dropped a testicle on the floor while swapping these behemoths front to rear. i would guess 60 lbs each. and with lug bolts even more fun trying to center up the hub. i hope to get another 6 to 8k miles out of them and then it's non-RFs for me. :yikes:

How many miles you going to get on your runflats?? Do you have 19's or 20's?? I've got 19's and have 20 on them and still look like maybe 10 more if I'm lucky.

yep, 19's with 25k so far. i should have probably done this sooner as the left front has odd outside wear, the right front has inside wear and the rears are wearing on the inside as expected.

it has been raining heavily today and i was suprised after the rotation at the amount of hydroplaning i experienced. my tread depth was better on the rears so that should help, but the car seemed to be stepping sideways. but again deep standing water so i am only delaying the obvious here. hope to get thru the summer with these.

you think the 19" are heavy... try lifting a fat 20" rear wheel on 214 rims... over 100+ lb i think, it sure feels like it.

I had two of my rims repaired courtesy of my city's newest attraction - pot holes :D I had them re-do the repair at the dealership since I could see the scratches and I'm sure the guy was cursing .... someone!

I thought that same way until I was lucky enough to have a large bolt enter my runflat ( Ha! ) on a rainy evening during heavy traffic on the interstate. Temp was 33 and I was forever thankful I had the runflats. Never thought I'd say this but think I'll put runflats back on when my originals are dead. I originally said I'd never buy a 70 after two 53's because of all the electronics but I did and I'm happy I did!! Have 20k on mine now and I hope Deutsch doesn't see this but have been to the shop one time to drain oil at 1200 miles.....just not one problem as I drained my own oil at 10000 miles so have not been back to the shop. Still don't like all the electronics but am happy with the 70!!
