xDrive30D 3 weeks old and...
 

Hello ,
I'd like to start by saying this is a great forum and I spend lots of time reading the posts....

We picked up our Australian X5 3.0D 3 weeks ago and love it ..except now we are starting to experience some of the software glitches.

1. The 4x4 system and DSC failure has occurred twice, we took it in the day it happened but it had reset by the time the BMW guys looked at it and found no issue. It happened again today and we took a photo of the display. It has now reset and is normal. No change in driving was noticed whilst it was in failure.

2. The reverse camera has gone blank on 2 occasions ( a horizontal green line and verticle blue line appear on the black screen) , but comes back online later...the sensors keep working.

I have read about the 4x4 and DSC failure .....What have they done to your cars to resolve this?
Has anyone experienced the camera issue as I have described.??

Our car is badged xDrive30D , its a Nov 08 build ,I assume it has the latest software. It has the following options.
Space Grey,Black/Bamboo trim, Executive package, Sports package, 20 inch Y spoke , running boards and USB.

2) I had no problems with my reverse camera not coming on until I got the latest firmware when I brought it in a week ago. The fix was for a brake-release bump so it's not related, but it seems the latest firmware causes my camera not to come on at random times while the PDC works. It has happened twice already. No other errors such as the DSC.
