Deleting Song List from Memory
I have a 16GB USB thumb drive with about 6000 songs hooked to the USB port. When I initially hooked the drive, the audio system sync'd the song list and loaded them in memory. Now whenever I add new songs to the drive, they never show up, when sorting by Album, Genre, Song, Singer etc., though I can play them by browsing the directory and finding the song, luckily I have them sorted by folders.
Any way to delete the song list from memory? I cannot find anything listed in the manual other than that only 12000 entries can be stored in the memory and songs get deleted automatically when that limit is reached. If this is the case, it's a very dumb design. |
this isn't exactly a solution but why don't you buy an old ipod off ebay. you can get a 30gb for less than 50 bucks. usually ipod batteries go to shit, but since it's sitting in your car getting charged you never have that problem. you can get podcasts which is pretty great too
also having an old ass ipod doesn't matter that much since it's sitting in you center console anyways... i've had the same ipod after 2 change in cars. thing must be 5 yrs old and still running. |

First time you connect USB, it scans and creates an index. It is supposed to recreate the index when connected next time. If it's not doing for you then change the name of the drive (in Windows it's done in "Properties"). It will force to rescan again.
