21'' Dunlop Non Run Flat Tyres

Hi

My E70 is now due its first all round tyre replacement. I have tired to locate the "Dunlop Sport Maxx" tyres at my local independent tyre dealerships but to no avail. It would be a great help if someone could point me in the right direction to purchaie these specific tyres.

Obviously this is a last resort before I have to go to my local BMW dealership and get ripped off.

Tyre Specification:
285/35ZR21 SP SPTMAXX XL MFS 1
325/30ZR21 SP SPTMAXX XL MFS 1

Kind Regards
ekelly

i just got a set of these rims and have been searching for these tires it appears the best price i could find on them is $2200 + shipping ! :yikes:
thats was from Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels

it might make sense for you to go to the dealer !!

these are the only tires made in that size they're special for bmw 215's !!

really f-kin expensive , i was even contemplating selling the rims but i love the look !!

Yeah they are really expensive. I suppose its off the my local dealership to see what they can offer. It would be great to see a bit of competition from other manufactures i.e. Toyo to try lower their crazy price. Although I have no complains about the Dunlop's, served me well ~40K KM.

Thanks all the same LI-X5.

I turned down the offer of a set of Dunlops RFTS size 18 for $2000 and got a set of aftermarket 215 wheels and Vredestein Sessanta`s size 20 for the same price. I just couldn't pay so much money just for tires, although the RFT system is excellent. The only problem is that since my X5 has the 3rd row, I can't use a spare tire. Maybe a portable compressor will help in case of a flat tire.

I paid 1500 euro for a complete set of 4 non run flat dunlops. This was in belgium around 3 months ago. The comfort is way better then the runflat versions, but they tend to last less longer.

yeah but they dont make any other tire in this size !!

Hi Hans

Did you get your non run flats from your local BMW dealership? €1500, that's a reasonable price for 4 new Dunlops. I managed roughly 40K km my run flats so if I get anywhere near that in the new Dunlops I'd be happy enough.

Kind Regards
ekelly

No, since they only wanted to sell me the runflat ones :)
I have a friend who owns are tire shop and he ordered them for me. And yes, 1500 is a good price !

I managed to get 4 new Dunlops for €1200 (fitted). Happy enough with that price. Here's to another 30K KM of driving pleasure.

Very good price ! :)
