Rear Camera and Parking sensor
 
Hi all X5 owner

I have a 2007 4.8L, it has rear camera and Parking sensor. all OEM
i am not sure why, i can t turn the rear camera ON with the Parking Assist screen together. I can only have either one of them. and i saw some plp selling their X5. they are able to have the Rear Camera and Parking assist screen ON. PLEASE HELP

They will if you can't find a valid warranty reason for doing so. Most folks around here who had the PDC issue also had a problem that the steering wheel didn't always return to the correct position when you got back into the vehicle. Raising that with the dealer got them to upgrade the SW and killed 2 birds with the one stone.

I was about to try that steering wheel complaint but then thought that they would endlessly test that until the cows came home, causing undue stress on the components. I just gave up the idea. I did actually have a valid complaint that the car jumps from stops (without hitting the accelerator) at red lights and it turns out there's actually a bulletin for this (problem is much less apparent now but it's still not 100% smooth letting off the brake)... they updated my firmware and I got what I wanted. ;)

Just say the whole system reboots every now and then...
