I tow a 3,500lb boat plus the weight of the trailer with my 35d no problem. Also, the trailer doesn't have brakes. I'm only going short distances but so far I can barely notice the boat behind me. Acceleration and braking is awesome. I used to tow with an '02 F150 and I honestly think the 35d works just as well.
