Is It Rude?

Does in not seem a little upsetting that on top of this forum here in Australia we have to have a link advertising www.Porsche.com.au
I mean if I wanted a Porsche I would go and join there forum. Are BMW allowed advertise on there forum?

Did someone sell there soul here? I mean would McDonalds be allowed to advertise in a Hungry Jack's store. :dunno:

This site is not sponsored or run by BMW so unless you or other members would like to cough up all the money to fund the site, then don't complain. It isn't free to run a web site nor the time of the 5+ moderators that maintain the site (none of which is paid to do so). So if they want to advertise for EVERY auto company BUT BMW, we can't complain..unless of course you'd like to make a couple thousand dollar donation every year :)

It's just a little weird that's all, it's like hijacking a thread!:dunno:

To be quite honest, it seems a bit rude to complain about the type of advertising, when one is using for free the resources that such advertising provides.

As Wagner explained, running this site is expensive. Without advertisement, we could not keep the site running.

There is nothing wrong (or rude, for that matter) for other carmakers to advertise in a site dedicated to car enthusiasts -- regardless of the brand. Actually, it's smart, especially for Porsche: this is exactly the demographic they are chasing.

His screen name is in red. Which means he pays to contribute to the site.

No, it's not rude. It's reality.

We'll see what the mods have to say about ya ;) I'll leave it at that, haven't been in the 5th grade for quite a while. Probably should pay and be here longer than half a year before you start running your mouth.
