In for service now

I was going to wait for service until it was recommended, but I had some warning messages about the engine oil popping up, so I dropped it off this morning. Here is the stuff I'm getting done, and I will update when I get it back to see the resolution.
  • Transmission update, explained the jerkiness during low speeds
  • Rattles in both front seats. It seems there is a plastic piece that is loose at the bottom of the seat near the door pillar. The driver seat has been creaking like crazy recently.
  • Car lurches after I turn it off, as the parking brake completes its activation.
  • Irregular idle. Although I don't think it is the engine, but perhaps the alternator is malfunctioning.
  • Related to the last item, or at least I think it is, when the car is idle, and say someone opens the door to get out, the interior lights would flicker somewhat. That could easily describe an alternator issue.

--> got this on my driver's seat, I shifted that plastic piece down there a bit and it hasn't creaked since.

--> same here on my inclined driveway... thought this was somewhat normal as it settles into the notch [of the part I forget the name of], but if not, please let us know if it was somehow fixed

mine lurches too... and since i have limited space in my garage, i'm constantly worried about it hitting the front.

please let us know if there's actually a fix for this. much appreciated!

OK, so I got it back. I was only able to ride a few miles so far, but it feels better so far. I'm going to have to wait till the weekend when I typically drive some decent mileage to see if it has been improved. They generally did a full update on all firmware, it seems.

For the tranny, they applied SIB 24 01 09 with cas. Compared to what Zoich had done in another thread, if I'm reading these correctly, it would appear that the update my dealer applied is a newer one, but that's assuming these numbers act like a date.

They were not able to replicate the parking brake lurch, and they did say a little bit is normal. Since they actually didn't do anything to remedy this, I think the reprogramming improved it. It still lurches, but not nearly as much, and it isn't as loud when it is applied.

The creaking seats were actually the doors. They made some adjustments, and so far, it sounds good.

They were not able to replicate the whining idle and possible alternator issue. I'll have to monitor this further and see what happens.
