Phone call won't end on bluetooth
 

I think I made a mistake by calling from my phone directly by dialing numbers on my phone rather than through the BMW menu. Now the phone call just keeps going and doesn't end. I got a high battery drain message and it seems like there is no other way than to disable bluetooth now so that my battery doesn't die. I deleted the phone and tried to pair the phone again but it still comes up as an active call.

Any one with any suggestions other than taking the car in? It's fairly inconvenient for me to get to the $tealer.

Odd...Did you try pushing the telephone icon button on the steering wheel? Sometimes when I use my phone the call doesn't automatically end when the other party hangs up. Doesn't happen all the time. Sound like you have a blutooth module problem.

have you tried re-cycling the power on your phone itself? That's what fixed this similar problem for me (couldn't hang up either)...

Thanks for the info, that thread sounds like exactly the problem. I will try this tongiht. I'v disabled the bluetooth in the meantime so that I can still start my car without the battery being dead.

I tried recycling the phone and that did it. This really just proves how valuable this site is. I called my $tealer. They had me on the phone for 15 minutes trying to explain the problem only to tell me that I had to bring the car in and it would likely be a module problem that needs to be replaced.

What kind of phone was it? Running Windows Mobile 6 like mine?

I've had various problems requiring a power-off/on such as calls not actually getting through (I would see a past incoming call when I took it off standby) and sometimes the battery life would be horrendous... it would go 100-30% in a day without use... then after a reset it could go days without such drainage.

I'm using the blackberry 8820 but sounds like I have similar issues. I've started to turn my bluetooth on when I get in the car and off when I plan on letting the car sit for a few days to prevent problems. I'm more worried about the Car battery than the phone battery. That high battery drain message is scary when you are on a road trip 400 miles away from home in the middle of nowhere.

Sounds like it's a problem with BMW's software.
