I want to paint the mirrors too.
Did it in my wife's cayenne S and it looks good.
I am afraid it will look too tacky with the black...:dunno:
Btw, I kept the back Aerokit all black.

I ummed and aahhed a long time on whether to do the same with my aerokit and am now wishing I broke it up with some silver/titanium after seeing how well yours turned out! Looks good:thumbup:

In hindsight I should have done it. The silver breaks it up very nicely as on black/darker cars the aerokit does not show up as much and is not as striking as say on an Apline White.

THe porsche looks good with the silver mirrors, on the X... not sure would pull it off though.

Looks great!

Did you do it yourself like the kindey grill? BTW, Is this 3.0 or 4.8?

Love the look! how about painting the chrome part of the kidney grills black? that way it all matches!

i wouldn't paint the mirrors, it wouldn't look right with the black, and would be too much

Can these be sourced in aluminum finish or is that custom?

shashankmittal 06-26-2009 02:30 PM

Did you install the kit yourself? Do you have the DIY instructions?

ECSTuning_Joe 06-30-2009 03:50 PM

Looks great! I will be trying with the rear middle portion in silver as well when I get the aero kit, like the photo chopped pictures I posted earlier, here they are again :)

Nice pics!
I have a question about the paint, does the Aero kit comes unpainted and that one needs to paint it before installing? Are all the pieces unpainted or is it that only the corner pieces are painted so that they can be color matched with the body? Is the front/rear middle portion pre-painted silver.

It looks very nice from this angle.
BTW, the Y-Spoke you got are after market or OEM?
