Tried a bunch of cargo boxes, I felt the Thule Boxter (Excellence, outside of US) was one of the nicer looking.

like it, very stylish. How easy/difficult is it to take things out of it? How about removing altogether?

Very nice and the new one looks more refined.

I just completed a trip to Chicago and back to PA w/o issues with the Atlantis 1600 box and it has more than enough space for 4 adults. Reserved the trunk space for the cooler and stuffs for our 14mo. old boy.

I have not used it yet -- so I cannot comment on the loading/unloading of items (but I suspect it's similar to the cargo boxes that I've used in the past on top of SUVs -- you have to lift the items above your head). As far as installing and removing the box, it's one of the easier units that I've come across, simply tighten four knobs and you are done.

Only problem with something like this is the over head clearance
in hotel parking garages.

Agree...

Also, get it centered ! Looking at your pictures, you have it shifted towards the passenger's side....

Lucky Roof Box

I bought the BMW roof box over here in Holland. It looks exactly like the Thule box but says "BMW" instead of Thule. It was only about 400 Euros ($500 or so) and came in black. When I got home and opened the container, it was painted the exact same Monaco Blue as the vehicle. Must have had it laying around in the warehouse. Looks sweet though.
