Replacement front door speaker
 

I am wanting to replace the front door speakers with better quality speakers, powered by an amp, and also add a sub. Can any one confirm that they are tiny 3.5in ones? Any aftermarket speakers that will fit without modification? I have the base/stanadard sound system which is just terrible. Not wanting an audiophile system, just something a bit better. Thanks.

I recently upgraded my 2008 X5 door speakers. All the doors and the dash are 4" component speakers.

So what speakers did you manage to fit, without having to modify the housing?

Well, I was installing an audiophile system, so the component speakers that I chose were Focal 100KRS
There is a cheaper model in Focal which is Polyglass 100VRS

If you want something cheaper, then I suggest you can search for 4" components at Crutchfield or other car audio websites.
