Interior door trim wood strip/panel question.............

Hi Guys!

I'm new to this site and going to look at a loaded up 2007 space gray 4.8i tomorrow. I know that there is a lot of knowledge on this board and thought that I'd try to pick your brains a bit!

I saw that the wood panel on the drivers side upper door had a crack in it and was wondering if that piece could be replaced or if I'd have to change the whole door panel. If it's changeable, would anyone happen to have the part number for it?

Thanks in advance!

Just the inserts are replacable, I know this because the dozy salesman orders wood on mine when I wanted aluminium, it took the head mechanic a day and a bit to do all the trim change so a door is probably 45 mins to an hour.

The door panel needs to be removed and then you can remove the trim piece. It will be a hours labour for sure.

Trim pieces are generally expensive. Expect to pay around $140 per trim piece.

The X you will be looking at should still be under warranty and BMW will replace it at no cost to you. Dealer replaced my door panel trim, visor ets no charge.

Thannks APW! :beerchug:

I got a price for the piece and it lists at $312, but found a place that would sell it to me for $249. It's not that noticeable, but I still know that it's there and just bugs me!

Thanks Penguin! I'll save those to my favorite places! :beerchug:
