Diesel folks with sports pkg, tire sizes

I was at a dealer and saw a diesel X5 with sports pkg and 19inch wheels. The tires seemed a bit wider, I didn't notice it right then but when I saw mine they seemed a different size.

What OEM shoes is your diesel X5 with sports wearing?

Thanks

In Australia 19" 255/50 up front and 285/45 in the rear.

regards

255/50/19" front and rear on my U.S. diesel with sport package. I really wanted the 20" wheel option, but it's only avaiable on the 4.8i in the U.S.A.

I always feel the 19" tire size sport package in US is not wide enough casue the rear tire size is only 255/50 and I noticed the E53 rear tire size with sport package is also 285/45 as well.

WOW 285/45 in rears are indeed big. With all that torque I would think that's an appropriate size for the rears.

Looks like the diesels in the US with sports have the same tire size as the the gas with sports. Mine also has 255/50 shoes, front and rear.

It is all wheel drive. What does it matter how fat the rear tires are? There is no way you are going to break traction on dry or rain at any time. I tried it with the stock tires.

It has a 60/40 split with a rear wheel bias in normal driving, wider rears should make a diff., plus they look way too cool ;)

In Europe mine come with 19" 255/50 front and 285/45 in the rear, Continental tyres.

What is the width of your 19" rims? Is it style 212? 9J for all 4 or 9J in front and 10 in rear? Because our 19" rim w/ sport package in US are 9J size in all 4 with 255/50 and I was wondering if I change to 285/45 in rear will it fit. (The main reason why I want to do this is because I want to have wider look from the back ;))
