White with the aero kit against the black bumper is great contrast in my opinion. I have plenty of pics in my sig. I don't have any pics of it without but see them in person all the time... I strongly feel it needs the aero kit for a sportier look... it certainly doesn't look worse with it in my opinion. I took a step back when they told me it'd be $2400 but in the end I had to have it. I would've probably chosen space gray or black if not for the aero kit completing this look.

Decided against the aero kit, not a fan on white cars. What is the difference between the running boards in "options" and the aluminum running boards in "accessories" on the bmw website?

^ one is installed during build (option), the other is after by dealer (accessory). Same product. More involved to install after, hence the price difference.

Also the running boards are a $300 option at purchase and over $700 dealer installed after purchase.
