Interested in an X5

... X5d that is.

Hey all. I'm looking into an X5d for me and my wife. What are the deals out right now? I understand there is a $4,500 eco-credit through the end of the month. What are people getting the X5d for? Is asking $500 over invoice ok?

Do we have any board sponsors/dealers that would work with me?

Thanks for any input.

I've got one on order, due to arrive in a few weeks. You can do a lot better than $500 over invoice. Invoice is about $5000 under msrp; so at that price the dealer would be getting nearly full sticker from you (once you figure in the $4500 incentive - which is from the factory, NOT the dealer). I paid $7500 off msrp on a build to order. There is also a $1800 federal tax credit for alternative fuel vehicles that you can cash in on your income tax return!

I guess I wasn't clear. I was thinking $500 over invoice before the eco-credit. That would put me at $4k below invoice after the credit.

Do we have a board sponsor that can search inventory for me?

That sounds a bit aggressive to me, but there are some desperate dealers out there so I wouldn't rule it completely out. I would highly recommend the build to order program if you can spare 6 more weeks out of your life w/o your new X5. Pick out exactly what you want - don't settle when you're buying a $60K + vehicle.

Just ask around. Some dealers will do it for $500 over invoice before the eco-credit. Bring your checkbook and just be prepared to walk out if they won't. Plus if ou are ordering one, make sure you're getting the 2010.
