My interior is gray ( wish it were black ). I recently did the converson from light popular trim to black trim and I am lovin' it! What a differance it made!:thumbup: Here's the before and after; (I also added a nav system):D

Go with carbon leather...much sporty and if you are paying big bucks build the car to your choice.
Scratches show more on black....before and after pics.

The carbon black leather is awesome. Pictures don't do it justice. Go and look at it on the M3. Its also a option on that car.

I have the piano black trim on my current E53 and had lived with it daily for almost 6 years now. Just like black paint, the piano black trim is beautiful when clean, but it's hard to keep it that way. As soon as you wipe it clean, it's dusty again. Like previously mentioned, scratches do show easily, even very minor scratches can be seen in direct sunlight. I gave up trying to keep it clean long ago :(

I love carbon black leather! Wish I had that in my X5. Definitely easier to take care of than the piano black (which looks great also, but is a nightmare to take care of).

Damn, looks like you've been busy! I see the piano black trim added, the nav added (pioneer wasn't it?), the chrome cluster rings and the better looking newer model sport steering wheel!
