Steering Fault
 

I was driving my E70 yesterday and noticed what I can only describe as what felt like a rubbing/stiffening of the steering after having used full lock. I could feel the rubbing through the steering wheel as it returned to the central position.

At first I could only feel this when on full lock in one direction but I can now feel it using less lock in both directions. I can only feel it when the wheel is returning to the central position.

It's only a relatively light sensation but it's definitely there.

Anyone else experienced anything like this ?

MY E53 had a similar problem due to low power steering fluid - worth a check.
