Oil Additives for e70 ?

Any of you guys recommend any oil additives for the e70? Duralube or similar. I have used them in the past on other vehicles with no problems and they have seemed to work.....or I should say I have had no engine wear issues. BMW does not seem to recommend them. Is there any reason why I should or should not use any?

Take a Pasadena, imo...
Quality synthetic oil, rated for your car, is all you need.

Several threads on oil additives, via the Search Tab: no
need in almost every one's opin.

If you want to do oil/filter changes with more frequency
than the computer or the manual recommends, that is
your call.

:iagree:

Oil additives will dilute and thus reduce the quality of modern synthetics oils.

No, you should not use them, and with all due respect, you should forget they exist. BMW is not the only engine manufacturer that does not recommend them. Virtually every engine builder out there does not recommend their use.

As motordavid stated "Good Quality (synthetic not necessary IMO) Oil " is all you need. (that meets the OEM specifications).
