LED question............

I've been thinking of changing our interior lighting over to led's and went to the Sylvania website to get the bulb types, but my question is:

I've found a site that sells the led's pretty cheap (GP Thunder SMD led's), but before putting out the money, would like to know if I should get 5 led bulbs or 9 led ones.

Any info from some of you Guys that have done them, would be Greatly Appreciated!

Thanks in advance! :beerchug:

Leds in the map lights and front overhead console lights will more than probably flash due to low current of leds.. you can put the leds in the footwell and doors and rear tailgate... I used the side firing SMD ones from V-LEDS (expensive though)....and they work fine... the side firing ones also work in the rear overhead lights.. map lights I have not got any leds to work as yet they all flash... you might want to do a search on "lighting mods" as I think there is a post with the leds that another memebr used...

some info here, not sure if it's got what you're looking for... I only did the bottom of the doors and the rear plate myself.

Thanks Guys! :beerchug:

I saw those posts, but thought that I'd ask about specifics because I'm electrically illiterate and also new to the BMW lighting!

GM stuff wasn't so picky and every possible combination has already been tried and tested!

By the way James, do you remember how many led's were on the SMD led's that you bought were? I can't remeber if I wanted 5 or 9 led's. I guess that I should measure them andsee which ones fir best.
Thanks again! :beerchug:
