Front Air Intake
 
I just noticed something odd on my '07 CPO X5 4.8. Under the front fog lights there are what appear to be 2 air intakes. One seems to be an active air intake (on the driver's side) but the other (on the passenger's side) seems to be blocked. Looks kind of odd to me when you take a close look.

I think one side with the big middle one is enough for the 4.8i engine . thats why they blocked the other side.

On the diesels you have a oil cooler on one side and not the other.. I changed both mine to the open grille....

do u mean that I can order the right intake from the diesel models ?

My car is Right Hand drive... so the open intake is on the drivers side ( I have the diesel)... so I ordered from the US the left hand open grille.... it does very little as it does not vent out to the wheel arch like on the drivers side where the diesel oil cooler is....:cool:
