No Gray interior in 2010..

Hello,

Just ordered a 2010 3.5d.. Dealer is telling me gray is no longer going to be an option in 2010. Anyone confirm this?

It's true. Gray is not available anymore.

Good, that gray interior is really depressing.

That's disappointing. My friend has a Gray/Bamboo Anthracite trim interior and I like the way it looks especially with the black headliner.

Black leather + Aluminium trim is a sharp combo though, I'd recommend that.

I always thought gray leather looked like either really dirty white or faded out black. I'll probably start a war on here with this comment, but anyone that keeps cars longer than a couple years should not get light interiors. They look great until they get any dirt at all on them. Then it looks like crap. So unless you're anal about dirt on your feet or really anal about cleaning when the inevitable rain gunk or snow grime gets on the carpet, you're begging for dirty stains on light carpet. I keep vehicles 10+ years. That's the main reason I got the black interior and rubber floormats. And vacuum it twice a week.

Aluminum trim is unavailable for '10 X5's too :(

Gray leather isn't that bad, IMO. We've had our gray leather for almost 7 years, and it looks just as new. Our beige in our 325xi is almost the same color as our gray in the X5....I would not make that decision again unless I didn't mind cleaning every year.

I'm not really understanding this gray gets dirty easily thing.

I have an X3 with gray leather and aluminium trim. The leather looks new and it doesn't show dirt easily. And by dirt, I mean the occasional "light dirt from my mountain bike tyres", since sometimes it contacts the interior door panel or the front headrest. After 5 years, looks brand new. It would shame the interiors on most CPO cars.

My mother has a 325i with Black leather. That shows dirt so easily, along with sun creme, lotion, and the "gravel dust" from shoes when one parks in a gravel lot. I've warned my mother to avoid using lotions and cremes since it rubs off on the side panels and armrests, but it's like I'm constantly scrubbing it off. It's a good thing it ain't my car.
