Alternator issue?
 

Last night I noticed that the dome lights slightly flicker (temporarily and quickly change brightness) when I flip the accelerator pedal while in Park. Could it be a symptom of some kind of an electrical problem? The light goes slightly dimmer while the engine revs up. I would understand it becoming brighter with higher RPMs but not dimmer... :dunno:

You know I noticed that too. I had taken it to the dealer some time ago, but they of course could not replicate it.

Check the fan belt tension, it may be slipping initially when you raise the rpm (charging is actually dropping as rpm raised).

i noticed that also and then loss of power and then death of the alternator. No batt light or other warning idiot lights.

I think I should raise the question with my service advisor on the next visit. In my case, it is very easy to reproduce and I will take a moment to show him what happens when he files the paperwork.
