It should be wrapped up in a "velcro-felt" thingy :D Just hanging there. Unwrap it and check it out. Mine has two wires there and I am assuming the other one is for the Sirius Box. Hope you find it.

Dude, when I said "hope you find it", I was being funny. Go out to your X5, pull the little handle on the left rear, and the first thing you should see is a cable hanging. (not connected to anything). That's about it.

If I saw it I would not ask for pictures. There are cables in a couple of bundles but none that stand out as the XM antenna. Nothing is hanging free or stands out as unconnected.... A picture would really help.

I'll try to get you a pic as soon as I get my camera working.

That would be the best answer by far! If anyone can tell me how to connect to the pre-wired, factory antenna I would be one happy boy:thumbup:

just tap into the antenna connection from the shark fin which in the X5 i dunno where it is, likely in rear inside the cargo door, and run it to where you want to mount the XM tuner. i did this in my 2008 M3. the sirius antenna works fine w/ XM signals, the frequencies are close enough.

Thanks. The link is helpful. As for the rest...:gun: I am not about to remove the headliner to trace the wire. ANYONE know where to pick up the factory sat antenna connection???

lol

you don't have to. it'll most likely be in the same spot as the BMW assist module if anybody knows where that is in our trucks

Here are the pics. I want to add the Sirius module myself instead of moving my sat radio from the M5 to the X5 all the time.

This black velcro felt thingy is hanging down in the well.

Here's what it looks like inside.

I LOVE YOU MAN! Never would have found that in a 100 years...:thanks:

You're welcome. :beerchug:

Now, I'm wondering if anyone can post pics of their X5 with the Sirius module installed. On RealOEM, it looks like there's another bracket that's needed for the module.
