Another One: 2010 X5d is in Production!!!!

Called the 800 number since a few other people posted their vehicle was in production.
"Your vehicle is in production; the estimated completion date is October 8, 2009." - That's only 10 days from today!

What's the 800#? I haven't gotten that from my dealer and I wanted to check on mine. Thanks!

And if you don't want to talk to the operator (she never understands what I'm saying):

Dial number
When operator starts talking, press 2
When operator starts talking, enter production number
When operator starts talking, press 1
Listen for reply

EDIT: I just checked the order status on my BMWUSA website and it matches what the operator said on the phone. It also finally has the correct color of my car. This time however, it doesn't show my selected options (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't).

It appears from the various threads this afternoon, that BMW has opened the 2010 production flood gates............someone posted last week that they've hired back another shift, and will soon be operating on Friday's too...........

One technical question on the order date that everyone's been posting today. Is the order date the date you put your order in with the dealer and he entered into the system ? Or is it when the code 111 - Order acceptance from BMW happens ?

It looks like it's 6 weeks to the day from order to build. Any idea how soon after the build you can schedule a SC delivery at PDC ?

If you're still excited 4 hours after you recive a build date...........should you call a Doctor ?

During the build on our 2009 35d the 1-800 number was always less than 24 hrs behind the BMWNA that dealers can access. In most cases it was only a few hours.

The inconsistent options/packages thing is SOP for the BMW NA site. It really leaves a bad impression. The results are essentially random.

Thanks for the number. I'm currently in production with a scheduled completion date of 10/6! Now she's going to sit there for over a month until my PCD date. Maybe I should have them ship it to me.....

Can you move up your PCD date? I bet you would have to change a lot of plans if you did. It would be worth it for the car you're getting!!
