Waiting to be relased to a carrier!!!!
Finally, the production is finished on 10/6. I cannot wait until she arrives.
I called BMW NA yesterday and they said the car will be delivered at the end of October or the beginning of November. It does not make any sense to me because the car is already done and even if it will be shipped on a ship, the slowest transportation, it will take only about 3-4 days on ship from South Carolina to New Jersey. Or it is just me who does not wanna believe BMW NA representative because I wanna get it earlier.:D Does anyone have any ideas how BMW ships their cars from South Carolina to New Jersey in terms of transportation? Thank you guys!!!! |
I'm assuming it goes car carrier from NC. What ever the mode of transportation, I can't imagine it would take 3+ weeks. I'm betting you get an earlier delivery.
We finished production on the same day. Maybe we were in the paint shop together  |
I guess we were in the paint shop together~~lol
Is your car waiting to be released to a carrier as well? |

I just called my dealer in NJ. The cars are sent truck to NJ. He said the transit time is normally 72 hours from release to carrier. They still have to prep it so don't expect delivery in 72 hours but 3 weeks is a bit much IMO.

I really appreciate your information!!!!!!!!:thanks:
I think I read your post somewhere here and I believe your PCD is at the beginning of November, right? |
November 13th. 36 agonizing days to go. :thud:
You're welcome. What dealer did you buy from? |
unless you are getting the diesel - read other posts regarding delays in shipments due to "alleged" EPA certification issues.
|
cmyx5go - I got it at BMW of Tenafly.
alexmish - I ordered 4.8i so EPA won't be a problem!!!!! I read about the EPA issue here and I dont understand why EPA does not approve it. |
