illuminated door sills

i was thinking of installing these myself...its it possible? has anyone done it till now? is it easy?

labours crazy where i live...

Approx 2hrs labor in the instructions, but the dealers hardly ever follow that! They will probably charge you at least 3 hrs! Labor for the non-illuminated set is only 0.5hrs. It is quite a bit of work to run the wiring harness from the driver's side rear door to the driver's side front door and then under the carpet behind the console over to the passenger side two doors! Don't forget there's four doors to connect, not only two!

I will see if I still have the instructions...

damn sounds complicated, i thought they get their power from each side their on and each two are linked together...

I ordered them when I got the car and the dealer installed them. I think parts were $700-800, installation maybe $400-500. They are not necessary, but they are great- came standard on my 6.

Nope. It's one wiring harness which links all four illuminated strips and to make things even more complicated, it connects to the module in the passenger footwell and one end also plugs in behind the glovebox!
