No Issues - what so ever with the engine, its a powerhouse!! tHE ONLY ISSUE YOU MIGHT HAVE is the Exhaust Fluid, sometime coming out of the NJ testing ctr, they (tech) do not fill up the reservoir completely. Therefore a sensor may go on telling you that you have 999 mi before the car won't start and you need to get it filled, initially the techs had no idea how much was how much, they figured it 5 gallons 2 hours later, other than that - watch out!!

Also the Dealers is suppose to drain and refill the Exhaust fluid at every regular scheduled service inspection.
However the dealer do not do top up in between the inspection periods. that is the responsibility of the owner. I recently had a scheduled inspection and they didn't do the flush and refill of the exhaust fluid. Actually they didn't even know what that was until I had to explain it them when I got the exhaust fluid low warning. They read up on it. The technology is too new... Anyways, you should have a bottle of exhaust fluid in the trunk storage in case, ~$15. |

Our dealer made the same mistake. They completely forgot to renew the exhaust fluid at the scheduled service inspection. Got the warning soon after(OOPS). :dunno: Took it back and they had to get out the cheat sheet, scratched their heads for a while, and they got it done OK. Mine was their first one they had serviced. We bought it in February. We have 16000 miles on it averaging 25-26mpg. I can squeeze 27mpg if I keep the rpm below 2000 and use a light foot. It's got plenty of power for me. My only concern is extremely low temperature starting like -25 F. It started fine at 0 F last winter, but didn't get any colder. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any problems with this engine in cold weather. |
We get -45* Celicus with windchills and parked outside for over 8hrs, no problem starting...
It started like it was summer... no hesitations that I noticed. |

I love mine too! Got her back in August. Got almost 5,000 miles. Drives and handles far better than any 5,000 lb vehicle has a right to. I'm getting about 25-27 mpg in mixed rural and highway driving. When we towed our small
RV it dropped down to 17 mpg. Bigger hit than I expected from our 1700 lb T@B. |
nice pic NJoisey...
