Can we upload MP3s into new hard drive on 2010 X5D?
Can we copy MP3s into the hard drive on 2010 X5 35D through USB and play from there instead of connecting ipod to it all the time?

Yes, it's quite easy actually. I did this on a 325xiT loaner (didn't need the guidebook), so whoever gets a white 3er Touring from BMW of Fairfax is going to find a sample of DJ Sammy's Album The Rise :D

Yes indeed
That's exactly what the feature is for ;)
I haven't done it on my M3 but the process looks pretty simple. |
awesome!!! That makes my job li'l easier.:woot: Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know if this feature only applies with X5's with the iPod/USB port only? Or, does the non-iPod adapter-equipped cars also have a hard drive?

If you ordered NAV, it has the hard drive.

But without the USB option, how would you download the data? |

Correct, you can rip CDs onto the hard drive. There is c. 8 gigs allocated for music.

Think you get a separate USB input on the new NAV system, standalone from the USB input/iPod option.
I've ordered both on my X6, I think my first computer only had two USB ports :) Can movies be loaded on to the hard drive too? |
