BMW Assist / MyInfo
All,
I finally used my MyInfo (Send from Google Maps) over the weekend - all I can say is WOW, what an AMAZING feature! 1. Find location in Google Maps 2. Send 3. Get in the rig 4. Check messages via iDrive 5. Open message and send it to the Nav for directions. AMAZING! Was just wondering if anyone tried just "emailing"...like a regular message (not an address?). Cheers. |

correct, you must use email address setup with your BMW Assist.

thats an awesome feature..... can you imagine? "Can you just email it to my car please". :)

very jealous... because I hate the '08 idrive that can't get you the right information when you do a search... such as when I tried to find a local toys r us, I couldn't... I used every category and typed in the word "toys" as a store name (partials do work)... none found in that case. I hate that you can't search all categories so it's sure to find it. I don't care if I have to wait an extra few minutes... just find it!

the bmw search is a nifty feature... i know 199 a year is expensive to pay for it but hell you're driving around a 50~80k car (depending on your options...) are you really hurting for the 199 a year?

I know.. i was playing around with both... diesel is hard to fine around chicago (i want to say 1 in 10 gas stations have it). with bmw search i can do a quick diesel price search based on the gps and it'll give me where my closest diesel station is. I was also experimenting with using myinfo to put in a list of diesel stations i've come across so that i'll always have them ready to go in my nav list.... but the bmw search is great because all the poi database issues go away because... well its google's business directory.

The nav system lets you search for the closest diesel stations, but does not give the price. |
