Cold weather is useful, but do you really need it in Portland? Maybe save the cash and get the aerodynamic package instead?

Just a thought...

You have the same car I do. My iPhone works fine. Have both the 3G and 3Gs in our family. They both work fine via the USB Ipod Adapter, in terms of charging.

Just received my build sheet from the dealer and it shows the self leveling suspension as NC.

I agree the third row is a waste, but as I stated I like the adjustability of the second row with them and the self leveling for towing.

As far as cold weather is concerned it has already dipped into the 10 to 15 degree range here this fall in Portland- plus our kids go to college in Canada and we will be making lots of trips up there to visit (BC).

I do like the aerodynamic package though...

a few people have said the 2nd row is not as comfortable if you have 3rd row... thinner bench? It's something else to consider... I'd sit in both and compare.

I think the second row seats are more comfortable with the 3rd row, as you have the center armrest with the cup holders, reclining and sliding seats, etc.

But, I agree test them both. It's easy enough to do. Personally, having the 3rd row seats, I'd prefer to have the extra space and the compact spare. Then again, the run flats are fine and short of a blowout (very rare with run flats) in "bumble land," the compact spare is a mute point.

The file is too large to upload to this site.
See page 53 (X5d info), under Notes, left column.
It's not Adaptive Drive.

I agree, I tried them both in the showroom and my impression was that the second row felt roomier with the third row option- for some reason it seems there is a pinch more leg room, but I'm sure that has do do more with hip and leg position than actual leg room. I wish I could have the second row adjustability and the self leveling rear suspension without the third row though...

I don't plan on buying runflats after the OE wear out- in fact our winter setup will be with traditional snows with the 19" sport wheels. I guess I'll carry a mobility kit like in my M3.

Thanks, that is very helpful and explains a lot! What does it mean when the ordering guide lists Vermilion Red as "Priority 1"?

jaaX3 12-22-2009 01:11 PM

It's a special order only option - not something you would see on the lot (unless someone backed out on an order; or it's a used vehicle).

montoya 12-22-2009 01:45 PM

OK- nice to know. That explains why it's not in the brochure.

OP,

Multi-contour seats is soooo much better. It costs a lot but it does have many adjustments to really customize to your comfort level. I'm definitely glad I got them. I could fall asleep in it http://www.xoutpost.com/images/smilies/yawn.gif

Did not get the smartphone integration since the bluetooth is awesome. Did not get the ipod adapter as well since there is a hard drive that you can load your songs and have it displayed on your idrive.

What about ordering satellite radio? I have the comfort seats and really like them.
