Door Sills on E70?
 

Hello,

Has anyone done the illuminated door sills on an E70? Anyone done a DIY and care to explain how it is done or pictures.

Bottom line is dealer scratched the hell out of the door sill on my 1 month old 3.5d and I really don't want the body shop to get involved. Thinking about just touchup and have them give me the door sills.

One question I have is how much do they actually cover? The scratches I have are more towards the back of the drive door sill (towards rear door), almost to the corner where it goes up.

Can someone take a good picture of them installed. I'd really appreciate it.

i had them on my 09 totaly not worth it and not noticable, ive seen the body shop workers while they install it u have to open up almost all the wire under the seats or at least somthing like that, it took a whole day to install, so in my opnion just put non illuminating

hmmmmm, wished they have aftermarket stick-ons. Better than what we have now, and the BMW ones are just much money.

im gonna try ordering the door sills on the X5 M since my new X5 has an M sport kit so it would be perfect

Here is a link (with fotos) to an earlier post. I've got them (were installed by dealer when I got the car) think they look great. Would do it again.

I have them on my car and would do it again. I had the dealers install them, but don't know how they did it.

I've ordered the non illuminated door sills at my dealer. Does anybody have pictures how these look on the X??

Since they are not ulluminated I think it's just sticking them on like a sticker. Is this correct?
