'comfort climate' windshield vs V1 and RL

There is a thread about BMWs in a radar detector forum that says 'comfortable climate' windshields block IR which in turn interfers with detectors like V1 and Redline.

I am currently running both the V1 and RL and do not have a problem when they are in the proper position but when I want to move them around and put one on the dash then that unit does not respond as quickly.

Can someone tell me about the windshield on a 2008 4.8i sport? I have 'comfort access' but that's about all I know.

You'll be fine.

I have every package available on an 06 wagon, and don't have a single issue with my hardwired v1.

BMW does not offer the Climate Comfort windscreen in North American models except possibly the 7er.

I mount the V1 in the sunvisor in my X3 (so the unit is not visible) and although I think the green tint band might reduce effectiveness by a tad, I can still detect K or Ka a sufficient distance away to reduce speed when needed.
