Visit to dealer

Car went in for the following:
1) Leak in washer system
2) Door sill trim riding up not able to keep it down.
3) PDC inactive warning came on and system not working
4) Auto lights stay on in sunlight and turn off in fog!!
Any I was told to pick up at midday after taking it in at 9am which I did and this is the result:
1) New pipe needed in headlamp wash part of system. Item not in stock on order but they have disconnected fuse to headlamp washer.
2) Needs new trim, not in stock.
3) Need new sensor for rear...guess what....not in stock.
4) No fault found.
So basically naff all got done and to make matters worse there is a 5 week lead time on the PDC sensor as it needs painting.
The car was brand new in November so ownership is just brilliant. To add insult to injury during a washing session yesterday I noticed a small 4 mill scratch has appeared on the door protector strip. I know it wasnt there when it went in.
Not having a pleasurable ownership yet! lets hope 2010 gets better.

Look at the bright side: they could have kept it for 2 days before getting it back to you!

If there is any way to document the incorrect operation of the autolamps (via cell camera) you should try that.

It is interesting that your PDC is 'inactive' and the fault is a paintable sensor... ALL your sensors bad? How? Perhaps this system will turn the entire thing off if one is bad....

inspect your vehicle on the premises thoroughly everytime you get it back... last time they dinged my rim... it always seems to come back with something. Take it in as few times as possible.

Its apparently a rear sensor but it keeps comming up with "inactive, contact dealer". Because my car is an m sport the rear bumper is colour coded so apparently this means it needs painting.
