Comfort Access X5 vs 3-series
When I was ordering my new 335xi sedan, I was surprised to learn that CA option was only $500, vs. $1000 for X5. So I thought it is a good value, and make driving experience between both cars similar...
Well, I got what I paid for, that is CA only on the front doors !!! There is no CA on the rear doors. Thus half the cost ! :nanana::nanana: |
You know, after pulling into a public parking spot or reversing into my driveway, often I find myself CA-closing with the rear door handle as I walk away toward the back since there's a slight delay after closing the door before you can do it. It's pretty much like a drive-by locking. ;)
Anyway, I wonder what other companies with keyless do... all doors or just the fronts since they are usually priced less too. |
My mom's Altima I believe has free CA, all doors but it has a small knob to push. I actually find it is a better solution as water/rain/snow etc does not interfere.
|
I had a Nissan Altima rental last year that only had the button on the drivers door.

All four doors will lock and have a sensor on the no extra cost 'comfort access' for Lexus 2010 RX's (might have been part of a package...as was auto highbeams)
|
four door CA is a must! especially if you have infants.... the rears doors are usually the first doors that opens in the family.

^ good call, very true.

I don't particularly care for Comfort Access; I don't really use the functionality on my mother's 3er.

Wonder how people use to survive by manually opening the doors back in 70s. ;)
