New 2010 TPMS Sensors
Since the TPMS sensors changed for all 2010 models, has anyone ordered replacements with their new aftermarket/upgraded wheels, or do we have to just switch them over from the stockers?
If you have ordered replacements, please post some contact and pricing information. Thanks in advance. |
I have the "old senors" in my 2010 X5 and they work fine. I upgraded to the 214 Style Wheels and ordered these and they work perfect...

That is interesting. Anyone else using the old version on a 2010 vehicle?

What is the difference between the old and new? Is it just for compatbility with the new iDrive system?
Just curious, does the X5 now inform the actual pressures or does it just show color of the condition (green = good, yellow = warning)? |

I was worried after reading a few thread b/c I already had the wheels and tires installed and was just waiting to get my Finace X5 to put them on, to my releif they worked fine I just installed them and reset the system and everything came back green with no codes or warning lights.

That makes me fell a bit better. Is there a way to confirm that you are purchasing the correct sensor for your car. Is there a build date, etc. when the new sensors were used?

New Sensors are only on the 3 series for 2010 and possibly the 7
|
That is great news. Thanks.

I ordered a set for our '10 3.5d for the winter wheels from the dealer when I was told the '10 were new and non compatible with earlier TPMS. I paid $330 with BMWCCA discount. Guess I should have tried a set from our '08 first to see if they worked since I paid $150 more from the dealer than if I bought a set off ebay.:(
